Bennett's Backyard was established in 2003 with the goal of providing quality landscaping and a desire to provide a professional and personal experience for our customers. We are a small but growing business, with a wonderful, educated, experienced and hard-working team.  We have listened to our customers' expectations and suggestions. We then went a step further and not only listened, but implemented policies and procedures to give you, the customer, the best possible experience. Bennett's Backyard has a reputation for quality and transparency. We search the area for the best materials in design, quality, and integrity. Landscapes

Landscaping is aesthetic appearance of a piece of land by changing its contours, adding ornamental features, or planting trees and shrubs. Bennett's Backyard is a full-service landscaper.

Hardscapes

Hardscaping is the installation of non-plant elements such as retaining walls, paver walkways, patios, driveways, outdoor kitchens, fencing, and lighting in a planned outdoor area. We are proud to say we are a top hardscape professional in the Central Pennsylvania area. We are certified by the Interlocking Concrete Pavement Association (ICPI) and the National Concrete Masonry Association (NCMA) for segmental retaining walls. We are also an Authorized Installer of Techo-Bloc Products.

Our Process

Designs - All Hardscape and most landscaping projects will require a design plan.

Once we receive a call or email, we will set up a consultation to meet at the property. During this free consultation, we will discuss customer needs, wants, likes and dislikes, and offer our professional suggestions and recommendations. We will take all measurements, elevations, and pictures as needed. At this point, we start the design process. All of our designs are done through a CAD program and are presented in color on large format paper. A second consultation will be scheduled, at which the customer will be presented with our suggested design along with recommended materials and a cost estimate. All of our estimates are line itemized so cost is transparent. At this point, the customer has the option of making changes to the design, if needed. Once the design, price, and start date has been agreed upon, an agreement will be written up that meets the Pennsylvania Home Improvement Contractor requirements.
